Survey of networks in nanotechnology - Release: October 2003

Funded under: FP5-GROWTH, FP5-IST, FP5-LIFE QUALITY

Abstract

Nanotechnologies and nanosciences represent a new approach to materials science and engineering, as well as for design of new devices and processes. Research at the nano-scale frontier is unified by the need to develop knowledge, tools, techniques and expertise on atomic and molecular interactions. In 2000, the European Commission's Fifth Framework Programme Growth, Quality of Life and IST, launched a survey to identify the state-of-the-art of networking in nanotechnology in Europe. The results were first published in May 2001, and are now released for the fourth time, with a significant increase in the number of networks (100).

As well as the overall survey report downloadable below, the data on each network are published in the form of a http://icadc.cordis.lu/fep-cgi/srchidadb?ACTION=D&SESSION=&RCN=2727&CALLER=DOCS_LIB (downloadable zip file).
