Project ID: FIKR-CT-2001-00171
Funded under: FP5-EAECTP C

Abstract

The over all objective of the ASTRID methodology is to support the technical expertise with a rational work structure suitable for nuclear power plant emergencies that could be commonly understood and acceptable to most. The methodology is based on a common approach on work elements and their structure as well as a work process of the various emergency response teams in case of an accident in a LWR - within the variety of reactor and containment design. This could also facilitate communications between organizations. Furthermore, the work documents and reports (and output files) out of the methodology and code may serve as efficient means of information for Emergency Management.
