Funded under: FP6-IST

Abstract

The Framework Programme (FP) strives to promote gender equality in scientific research, both from the point of view of promoting the participation of women scientists and from the point of view of the integration of the gender dimension in the research agenda, where this is relevant.
This is stated in the Decision of the European Parliament and the Council concerning the adoption of the Sixth Framework Programme, in the Council Decisions adopting the Specific Programmes and in the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the Rules for participation for the implementation of the European Community Sixth Framework Programme.
The concrete way through which this is implemented by the Commission services is presented, in a VADEMECUM.
