Opinion of the European Economic and Social Committee, on the Proposal for [...] the seventh framework programme [...] and the [...] seventh framework programme of the European Atomic Energy [...]

Abstract

On 25 April 2005 the Council decided, under Article 95 of the Treaty establishing the European Community, to consult the European Economic and Social Committee on the Proposal for a Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the seventh framework programme of the European Community for research, technological development and demonstration activities (2007 to 2013) and the Proposal for a Council Decision concerning the seventh framework programme of the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) for nuclear research and training activities (2007 to 2011) COM(2005) 119 final/2 - 2005/0043 (COD) - 2005/0044 (CNS).
The Section for the Single Market, Production and Consumption, which was responsible for preparing the Committee's work on the subject, adopted its opinion on 11 November 2005. The rapporteur was Mr Wolf, the co-rapporteur Mr Pezzini.
At its 422nd plenary session, held on 14 and 15 December 2005 (meeting of 14 December), the European Economic and Social Committee adopted this opinion by 123 votes, with four abstentions
