Employees' Resources and Social Rights Proceedings of the International Conference, Wednesday, May 11th 2005

Project ID: HPSE-CT-2002-00104

The RESORE dissemination conference took place in Brussels on May, 11th 2005. It was organised in cooperation with the General Directorate Research of the European Commission.
Under the title "Employees' resources and Social Rights", the objective was to debate with social actors, policy makers and researchers about the first outcomes of the RESORE project.
- Is it possible to understand the employment and social protection dynamics from the view point of employees' resources?
- In the current context of national and European policies, how to interpret these transformations for the employees and their representatives?
- How to analyse the shift from public insurance and socialised wage towards allowance and savings and the modifications of the associated social rights?
These were the issues to be addressed in scrutinizing active labour market policies and pension reforms.
