The European Union is funding research that explores how ICTs can help make learning more efficient.
In the European Commission, technology-enhanced learning research is managed by the unit 'Cultural heritage and technology enhanced learning'. The unit also supports research on leading-edge information and communication technologies for accessing, experiencing and preserving cultural and scientific resources (digital libraries research).
'Cultural heritage and technology enhanced learning' is part of the Directorate-General 'Information Society and Media', and one of the units of the Directorate 'Digital Content & Cognitive Systems' (Luxembourg).
