Guide for Applicants, Biorefinery Joint Call, Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Biotechnology, Energy, Environment (Including Climate Change), Nano-sciences, Nano-technologies, Materials and new Production Technologies, Collaborative Project, Two-stage submission process, FP7-2009-BIOREFINERY. This is version number 3 of the FP7 Guide for Applicants for calls using twostage submission procedures. The Guide covers both stages. If it is revised during the course of FP7, the new Guide will be given a different version number and the changes will be indicated in this box. Text which deals specifically with the two-stage submission procedure is placed in a box like this The main part of this Guide (sections 1 to 5) is common to all such calls. Information specific to this call is found in the annexes. This version contains a number of clarifications and amendments, the most important of which are: distinct templates for stage 1 and stage 2 proposals in annex 4, inclusion of guidance on Participant Identification Code and the Unique Registration Facility, incorporation of new work programme provisions on dealing with proposals having an equal score (annex 2), reinforcement of warning regarding consequence of exceeding page limits, revised evaluation scoring (annex 2) and provisions on ethical issues (annex 4). This Guide is based on the rules and conditions contained in the legal documents relating to FP7 (in particular the Seventh Framework Programme, Specific Programmes, Rules for Participation, and the Work programmes), all of which can be consulted via the CORDIS web-site. The Guide does not in itself have legal value, and thus does not supersede those documents.
