Study on the relationship between environmental energy taxation and employment creation
The European Commission, DG XI, has published an invitation to tender concerning a study on the relationship between environmental energy taxation and employment creation. The aim of the study is to identify the economic conditions under which a tax shift could result in positive employment effects. The study may identify the key parameters and the various assumptions therein that drive the models available in order to enhance understanding of why different models reach different conclusions. The final report of the study should be submitted within seven months.
