Slovaks Republic participates in enterprises programme
The European Commission has published a Decision adopting the terms and conditions for the Slovak Republic to participate in the Community programme in the field of small and medium sized business enterprises (SMEs) (Decision No 3-98: 1999/115/EC). The decision permits the Slovak Republic to participate in all activities of the third multiannual framework programme for SMEs in the EU (from 1997 to 2000) except for distributive trade unless special conditions apply in particular circumstances. The same terms and conditions applicable to Community participants in the project will be applied to the Slovak Republic. The Slovak Republic will pay an annual contribution, of ECU 288 900 from 1998, to the general budget of the European Communities to cover any costs resulting from its participation in the programme. The Decision came into force on 1 December 1998.
