Subsidy promotes European oceanographic industry
The European Commission, DG XII, has granted a subsidy to the Society for Underwater Technology, London, to help promote the establishment of a network of European industries (including small and medium-sized enterprises) active in the sectors of ocean instrumentation, systems and services. The aims of network are to define the RTD needs of industry, optimise the exploitation of RTD results, promote the involvement of SMEs and enhance European capacity in the emerging field of operational oceanography.
