Intensive Japanese language course for European scientific scholarship holders
The European Commission, DG XII, in association with the Commission's Representation in Tokyo, has launched an open call for tenders for the provision of intensive Japanese language courses. The courses are for European scientific scholarship holders participating in the EU Science and Technology Fellowship Programme for Japan, and the EU/Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Joint Fellowship Programme. The contract will be for the provision of two intensive four-month Japanese language courses adapted to young European researchers. The courses will be full time and will cover, in particular, the following areas: expression, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and comprehension, as well as an introduction to Japanese culture and lifestyle. Teaching will be given to small groups of students, comprising a maximum of four participants per group. The teaching is to be carried out in central Tokyo, Japan. The contract will last for eight months from the date of signature, with the option for the Commission to renew it twice under the same financial conditions. Tenderers must provide detailed information on the staff to be responsible for the performance of the service, previous experience in providing similar services, and details of the premises and equipment to be used in carrying out the contract.
