Assessing and improving the innovation management capacity of Walloon SMEs through specialized EEN services

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - KAMWAL (Assessing and improving the innovation management capacity of Walloon SMEs through specialized EEN services)

Reporting period: 2014-09-01 to 2014-12-31

The KAMWAL project aimed to the provision of innovation services by the Entreprise Europe Network in Wallonia during the last three months of 2014.
Proposed innovation services are
- KAM service: this service is proposed to SME Instrument Walloon beneficiaries. It consists of evaluating needs, identifying related external coaches and managing the coaching relationships. The objective is to help the concerned companies to maximize the benefit from the European grant.
- IMC service: this service is proposed to innovative Walloon SME with a high growth potential and a capacity to internationalize. Thanks to adapted tools, the Enterprise Europe network consultant helps the company to assess its innovation management organisation and processes and to improve them.
During the project, no Walloon SME were granted by the SME Instrument scheme. It follows that no KAM service were delivered.
On the other hand, due to the short time period, work on IMC service consisted of preparation and training on the proposed tool (IMPR3OVE).
The KAMWAL project should be considered as a first step in the setting-up of innovation support services through the Entreprise Europe network in Wallonia. Regarding constraints, some of them being not under command, the operational period was indeed too short to make concerned partners able to deliver expected results.
