Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project
In this project, the Kiosked platform will be developed into a fully automated, end-to-end service, thereby allowing any digital publisher to onboard the service at any time. Data drives Programmatic advertising and effective advertising performance delivering enhanced end-user experience. This project enables Kiosked to efficiently connect Publishers’ audience with programmatic advertising buyers delivering greater data driven value and granting Kiosked the ability to scale globally into one of the world’s biggest players in digital advertising.
Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far
During the first 6 months of the project we have taken the first steps towards our vision of enabling Publisher end-to-end self-service. Automated financials and dashboard were key improvements to the publisher offering which will also allow us to scale. The KSSP supply side platform has been developed for effective onboarding of publishers to our Real Time Bidding and ad serving. The new version of the MUST tool is the foundation for the customer sign-up service and automated on-boarding. The ‘Sniffer’ has been developed to speed up the platform and two brand new ad units were created to improve the monetization for publishers.
Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)
The project is driving progress and innovation in the technology sector. The end-to-end automated platform will provide a service package for publishers not available elsewhere and includes a number of unique elements. The 'sniffer' is a ground-breaking technology which quickly creates ad-placements in new places on the sites, bringing incremental revenue for the publishers. No other service providers offer this type of solution currently. The two new ad units developed during M01 - M06 are new for the industry, especially the in-scroll unit which is not available anywhere else. All of these achievements help us to provide real in-content advertising, where advertising is turned into a service in order to enhance the end user experience.
