Final Report Summary - ITERQCD (Iterative solution of the QCD perturbative expansion)

The ai of Iter QCD is to advance the methods for making theoretical predictions in physical processes which happen at high energy collider experiments. We have developed advance mathematical and computational techniques which have allowed us to improve with respect to the prior state of the art by one perturbative order. With these techniques we computed with a precision of 5% the rate of production of the Higgs boson at the LHC. This is twice more accurate than previous results in the literature.

With our new theoretical result and more experimental data which is getting accumulated at the Large Hadron Collider, it will be possible to measure very precisely the strengths of the interactions of the Higgs boson and other particles. In turn, the measured values of the Higgs interaction strengths will test our Standard Model of particle theory and have the potential to reveal novel phenomena that are not anticipated by it.
