Reporting period: 2016-06-01 to 2016-11-30

Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the most interesting innovations of our time. It is a technology that combines elements of the real world captured by a camera with multimedia elements. It is a very useful tool to superimpose artificial information on the real world. One application of AR is educational material for formal and informal education.
MAHEI has designed and developed its own augmented reality software for mobile devices and its objective is to develop toys and educational books for children ages 5-14. The technology developed is leader in customization, graphical quality, compatibility and product detection.
After the development of this new technology and considering the great potential of its application, MAHEI carried out a market study in order to identify the niche market for which the new technology developed would have a greater impact, taking into account the state of the art, the current developments and the products and the limitations of the competition. After the study, MAHEI's founders made it clear that they would focus on the education sector.
