Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

Datapole is a France based company with over 6 years’ experience delivering solutions of Big Data Analysis to customers in the markets of facility management, energy efficiency, resource management and smart cities.
PrediSmart is a software tool for environmental and operational efficiency by means of Big Data Analytics that brings potential results in terms of energy efficiency (10%), and resource efficiency (30%) to buildings owners, industries, utilities and cities. Our value proposition is an attractive offer for an integrated solution that pays back in the first year of product implementation.
End customers and society as a whole will benefit from PrediSmart advantages in terms of energy and resources savings and CO2 emissions reduction.
In order to confirm the feasibility of PrediSmart we have developed the present document that checks the technical, commercial and financial feasibility of our project. We have analyzed the technical developments ahead and prepared the execution plan for the development of the new PrediSmart software components and their integration in the new PrediSmart platform. We have performed an in-depth analysis of the target markets out of which we have developed our market strategy and our plan for the market launch of PrediSmart to the international markets. Financially, we have drafted a detailed 3-years financial forecast which has confirmed the potential return on investment of the PrediSmart.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

We have developed a thorough feasibility study to guarantee the technical and economic viability of our project. Here we present the main areas of focus and the results obtained:
Task 1: Technical Feasibility: We have evaluated the SW development activities to complete the necessary software components. We have estimated the resources and costs needed to perform a set of pilot demonstrators for the new software platform to reach TRL9. We have prepared a technical risk assessment and defined mitigation and contingency plans accordingly.
Task 2 Commercial Feasibility: We have identified our potential target markets and carried out an in depth market analysis, including quantification, forecasts, competition and barriers. We have refined our commercial strategy, our value proposition and our pricing strategy. We have planned our dissemination and communication activities and evaluated commercial risks, defining our mitigation strategies. We have performed a Freedom to Operate analysis and checked the IPR landscape to ensure no obstacle for PrediSmart is coming from prior IP rights. We have outlined our own IPR protection strategy and planned activities accordingly.
Task 4 Financial Feasibility: We have created an updated business plan that includes the evaluation of total investment, financial risks and mitigation strategies. We have performed a 5-year analysis on cash-flow and revenues and evaluated further financial strategies.

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

PrediSmart creates new knowledge by means of technology and enhances a robust decision making process as it is a tool aimed to transform existing data into knowledge and support decision making by simulation and prediction for the sake of operational and resource efficiency.
PrediSmart is aligned with the H2020 objectives for energy and CO2 emissions reduction by saving energy and resources. Its implementation supports the Energy Efficiency Directive, and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. Moreover, European companies, society and environment as a whole benefit from the savings in raw materials and resources generated by PrediSmart which result in an increase of overall European competitiveness.
