Development of an integrated audiovisual impact siting tool

Wind turbines and wind farms have environmental benefits in terms of pollutionemissions and depletion of natural resources; however, concerns have been voicedabout their possible negative impact in terms of noise and visual intrusion. Thisproblem may become even more important when wind parks are to be installed nextto villages or sites of cultural and tourist interest. This project aimed to developtools to aid assessment of the audio and visual intrusion of wind turbine/farminstallations as part of the design phase and the licensing procedure.
