Technical and economical effects of connecting increasing numbers of large wind turbines to weak public utility networks

Commercially available wind turbines are ever increasing in size, but it is becoming apparent that in many areas of the European Union the windiest sites are characterised by weak connections to the public electricity network. This project investigated the technical and economic effects of connecting large wind turbines to such grids.
