Personalised Tourist Services Using Geographic Information Systems via Internet

Deliverables

The EasyRent Online System is a new ski reservation and booking system integrated in the TourServ portal. TourServ enabled Wintersteiger to completely re-launch an existing application, which was limited to local use until then. Today online reservation has become an important issue in tourism in general and more and more tourists have actively requested such functionalities from Wintersteiger clients in the recent months. The Project TourServ provided additional contacts that will augment Wintersteigers chances in certain regions of Italy and France and will also result in additional sales.
The TourServ marketing support consists of fostering the marketing activities of software development partners by acting as door opener for new markets through existing business contacts. This will not only have a beneficial effect on the customer-supplier relationship, but will also have an income effect. The commercialisation agreements will be based on Commission Fees for such functionalities. The primary target group will be regions in winter sport areas. Secondary target groups in other tourist areas will be contacted in the future.
TEAM intends to market TourServ as a whole product both individually and as part of the TJV. In addition, TEAM intends to exploit and market, wherever sensible, the TourServ modules individually, with specific emphasis on the online booking module and the help-desk. Potential partners and customers are providers of web based online booking systems with help desk support in tourist areas. The collaboration reaches from providers buying a system and the needed external support and maintenance up to ASP-marketing models.
