Impact of prion replication on anti-oxidant defence

In collaboration with Partner 4 we could demonstrate in a previous work that infected cells present a higher susceptibility to oxidative stress (Milhavet et al). In addition as reported in paragraph 1.2, we demonstrated that metal ion metabolism in perturbed in prion infected cells. This may represent the linked between prion infection and anti-oxydant defence.
