Final Activity Report Summary - DEV-BIOSOFC (Development of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Hybrid System with Bio-fuels for Distributed Energy Generation)

All planed internal and external meetings has been done with recruited researchers from foreign country and with host staff members sent to partner institutions. We organised regular seminars and series of lectures for laboratory people as well as for the public; these concerned fuel fell technology, fuel storage, heat exchange and thermal management in solid oxide fuel cells, physical and numerical modelling. The staff member involved in this project got special training in modern fuel cell laboratories in Shibaura Institute of Technology, in Genova University, in Laboratory of Thermal Engineering University of Twente, and in Laboratory for Industrial Energy Systems, Institute of Energy Sciences, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland.

The International Workshop on Development of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Hybrid System with Biofuels for Distributed Energy Generation was held in Krakow, Poland from 22 - 23 November 2010. This international workshop contains eight invited lectures and nine papers, all of which include recent major developments in both the fundamentals and applications of fuel cells, and provide valuable information both to researchers and students dealing with fuel-cell systems.

Special mini symposium on Fuel-Cell Systems within the seventh World Conference on Experimental Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics (ExHFT-7) was held in Krakow, Poland from 28 June - 03 July 2009. The special issue of the mini symposium on Fuel Cell Systems of the seventh World Conference on Experimental Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics (ExHFT-7) ISBN 978-83-7464-266-8 has been published.

Special mini symposium on Fuel-Cell Systems within 21st International Conference on Efficiency, Cost, Optimization, Simulation and Environmental Impact of Energy Systems (ECOS 2008) was held in Krakow, Poland in June 24-27, 2008. A series of lectures given by recruited staff has been published in printed form and was attached to the annual report. Several presentations of current research have done during international conferences and are presented in dissemination of results.

In total 21 publications and 18 presentations on International Conferences has been done during fourth project period, 18 publications and 17 presentations on International Conferences has been done during third project period and total 16 full papers has been published in international journals and 15 has been presented on conferences and printed in conference papers at first half of the project period.
