Aerial photographs from digital camera

Researchers at Bath Spa University College, have developed a small portable digital camera that works very accurately in the field of aerial photography.
Aerial photographs from digital camera
This new aerial imaging system is lightweight, user-friendly and works independently of the aircraft's power supply. Although it has still not been fully tested for jobs requiring a very high level of accuracy, it has proved extremely effective in mapping and monitoring, planning and land use, amongst others. It is furthermore, much more cost-effective than its bulky analogue counterpart especially for aerial surveys of relatively small surfaces. Images produced by the ADPS have the further advantage of being digital and therefore easily and instantly transportable via satellite and through the Web.
