Many websites aim to bring science to life for young people and offer virtual and interactive scientific experiences. Here is a short selection of interesting and fun sites for educators and young people to try out.

Amusement Park Physics
An interactive site which reveals the physics behind roller coasters, carousels, bumper cars, and other amusement park rides.

BBC Science
A general science site with interactive sections which explore the human body, dinosaurs, space, robots, etc.

BBC Science Shack
A site for young people with answers to questions about science, experiments and a multimedia section containing videos, audio, images and web cams.

Belgian scientist
An educative website in Dutch and French. It offers information, images, video's, online publications, links to many Belgian scientific resources. Users are invited to provide additional sections to the website.

Cool Science for Curious Kids
A series of explanations, illustrations, animations, and projects on a biology theme, drawn from children's science museums.

Earth observation
This site is devoted to Belgian Earth observation and offers information, images, links and games.

Explore Science
A selection of highly interactive science activities for students and teachers on topics such as optics, astronomy, life sciences, etc.

Happy Skipper
A directory of free online entertainment: games, cartoons, and comics. Just for the fun of it!

Home Experiments
A wide selection of simple scientific experiments to carry out at home with everyday materials.

Kid Wizard
A fun, educational and interactive site where children aged from six to twelve can explore the magical world of science by carrying out simple experiments.

L' ├ętoile des enfants
A French language site dedicated to explaining the mysteries of astronomy to young people through interactive question and answer sessions. Questions can be posed online and a response appears on the site within a few days.

National Geographic for Kids
A wealth of information on the natural world: experiments, interesting facts, games and quizzes

Nobel eMuseum
A virtual biochemistry laboratory to explore through a game-like interface. This site is part of the Nobel e-museum.

PlanetPals
A teacher and children's site focused on the environment and earth friendly activities: featuring games, activities, learning centre and more.

Physik Highlights
This website is dedicated to the yearly science festival organized by the German Physical Society. This event is supported by the German Ministry for Education and Research. The so-called "Highlights of Physics" are a spin-off of the "Year of Physics" celebrated in Germany in the year 2000. The "Year of Physics" was the starting point for the "Science in Dialogue" initiative that already appears on your list.

TryScience
TryScience.org is your gateway to experience the excitement of contemporary science and technology through on and offline interactivity with science and technology centers worldwide.

Welt der Physik
The website "Welt der Physik" (World of Physics) offers all I kind of "physical" information for the general public, including: articles, pictures, animations and a calendar of events. This website is a joint initiave by the German Physical Society and the German Ministry for Education and Research.
