Sixth International Meeting on Molecular Electronics, Grenoble, France
Event date:2012-12-03
The sixth International Meeting on Molecular Electronics will take place from 3 to 7 December 2012 in Grenoble, France.
Historically, molecules have never played a prominent role in electronic devices. However, over the past few years, an increasing number of synthetic and quantum chemists, physicists, engineers and other researchers have started being interested in their untapped potential. New molecular-electronic systems, analytical tools and device architectures have been introduced and explored. Improvements in our understanding of how molecules transport charges and how they interact with the macroscopic world are now giving birth to new devices and applications.
The event will address the recent progresses in molecular, organic and "hybrid" inorganic/organic (opto)electronics. Session topics will include:
- single molecules and quantum dots: junctions/memories & switches;
- organic electronics and spintronics: materials & devices;
- organic optoelectronics and photonics: materials & devices;
- graphene, carbon nanotubes and nanowires: synthesis & devices;
- self-assembly & supramolecular architectures;
- scanning Probe microscopies and near field approaches;
- molecular theoretical modelling;
- bioinspired approaches and biomimetic devices.
