Description

Objective: This is an exploratory project designed to assess the state-of -the art knowledge concerning the social and economic determinants of quality of life in old age. It is intended to review the scientific literature in selected Member States in order to compare and exchange information on the factors, which extend or limit quality life. This will include research on the views of older people themselves on the quality of their lives. The project will deliver brief reports on relevant research in six Member States together with an overview. The results of this work will form the basis of a workshop for scientists and policy-makers. European added value will be gained from the pooling and dissemination of existing knowledge across the Member States.
