Call for proposals for Security research

The European Commission has published a call for proposals for security research. The document is part of the latest set of calls published under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).
The security Work Programme for 2013 ambitions the development of innovative security solutions and their rapid adoption. With a total of 54 topics, it is hoped to result in the implementation of socially acceptable security policies and programmes.
Four main objectives have been underlined by the European Commission:
- addressing important capability gaps;
- validating solutions resulting from research and development;
- providing the core critical capabilities needed by Europe where the technologies are not yet mature;
- undertaking high-risk and high-impact projects for the development of groundbreaking new technologies and other solutions.
