Call for proposals for Prizes for innovation in public administration
Date:2012-08-22
The European Commission has published a call for proposals for prizes for Innovation in public administration. The document is part of the latest set of calls published under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).
With the public sector accounting for half of the EU's GDP, there is a clear need to support innovation and modernisation in public administrations. Awards have a strong potential in this regard: they raise awareness amongst the broader public and they create role models.
The prizes for innovation in public administration will be granted to successful, already running and innovative public initiatives that improve citizens' lives. All public administrations from EU Member States or Associated Countries of the Research Framework Programme are invited to submit their initiatives.
The awarded money will be used by the winning public administration to scale up and expand their initiative.
