Call for proposals for the EU Prize for Women Innovators 2014

The European Commission has published a call for proposals for the EU Prize for Women Innovators 2014. The document is part of the latest set of calls published under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).
As Europe urgently needs more innovators to maintain its competitive edge over the next decades, untapped sources of innovation such as women researchers who do not consider entrepreneurship need to be addressed. First organised in 2011, the Prizes for Women Innovators aim to bring the spotlight on women researchers who are responsible for outstanding innovations to the market, thereby inspiring other women to grasp the nettle
The Commission intends to award up to three "Prize for Women Innovators 2014".
