Neutrons for Industry: SINE2020 “Industry Consultancy” work package aims at increasing industrial use of European neutron sources
Started in October 2015, the H2020 project SINE2020 will create an innovation-friendly environment around European neutron sources to tackle societal challenges by coupling research and innovation. Analytical techniques, like provided at neutron sources, are the basis of understanding how materials and processes work and essential for innovation in a knowledge-based approach. The work package "Industry Consultancy" will strengthen cooperation between European industry and neutron facilities.

The SINE2020 Sample Environment WP: Interview with the coordinator Eddy Lelièvre-Berna
Our project aims to improve the environment surrounding samples both on neutron and muon experiments, thus improving data statistics and opening new fields of science (applications in life sciences, energy, industry&materials, environment, arts&cultural heritage). In an interview Eddy Lelièvre-Berna tells about the SINE2020 collaboration activity on Sample Environment, which he coordinates. Thanks to the project, each member’s developments will be useful for the other facilities.

Q&A: Enhancing cooperation between industry and neutron facilities
The SINE2020 Industry Consultancy initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between European Industry and neutron facilities by offering free test measurements and feasibility studies to companies from the EU. Funded by the European Union through H2020, SINE2020 offers free test neutron measurements to industrial companies based in Europe.
