Objectives of research
Main objectives:
The ADORA study aims at the identification of ATM requirements and relevant constraints refining the definition of user requirements and their compilation into a user database. Applying feasibility criteria the ATM requirements and constrains will be compared against the user requirements. It will start with the collection of ATM requirements & constraints, utilizing work done at ICAO level , within European Community funded activities as well as Member States and EUROCONTROL (FANS,FEATS, ATLAS, AEGIS, PHARE, EATMS, etc.). Moving from these a check on their comprehensiveness is performed and a textual database will be produced. Then the definition of User Requirements phase will follow, mainly based on the EATMS User Requirement Document (URD), it will identify and complement airspace and non-airspace user requirements. The check on the preliminary adequacy of user/operational requirements, aiming at comparing user requirements with the proposed operational requirements will be performed and as a result a preliminary refinement of the EUROCONTROL ERAT Database will be produced. The Update Requirements activity will start after a six months time gap aimed at leading a number of reflections and discussions in the ATM community. It will gather the results of these debates. The Final adequacy of user/operational requirements will be the final step aiming at performing a comparison and fulfilment analysis and shortcoming assessment.
