Objectives of research

Main objectives:

List all traffic safety measures which are known and try to influence driver behaviour. Describe and analyse studies which attempt to evaluate the safety effect of measures. Provide interpretation of the results of evaluation studies in connection with important contextual conditions. Reveal contradictory evaluation results and research gaps and give answers to open questions or at least describe ways how to get answers. Compare the safety effects of various safety measures and try to assess net effects and interaction of safety measures. Assess cost-benefit ratios in those cases where possible and consider obstacles and chances for the implementation of safety measures.
