Objectives of research
Main objectives:
The goals of the research are: - the identification of present and emerging practises including quality performance in tendering/contracting urban public transport (UPT) operations; - the evaluation of the practices identified; - to propose “best practises” and guidelines, including practical recommendations, to public authorities and operators, for including quality performance in tendering/contracting UPT; - the identification of trends in quality management in UPT; - to establish a link between the quality indices identified in tenders/contracts and the perception of quality by the customers; - to perform a strategic assessment of the impact of quality initiatives on European UPT industry.
