Objectives of research
Main objectives:
The following subjects are addressed: - the required baseline communication system for Maritime LDL (MLDL)
- the available courses and databases and their suitability for the distance learning environments
- the required MLDL educational concepts
- the priorities as defined by relevant parties (governments, schools, shipping companies and ports)
- the definition of some emerging course modules
- the demonstration of a working system
- the evaluation of this system in terms of knowledge transfer and costs.
Demo Sites:
Demonstrator will be implemented onboard vessels of a specific shipping company.
