Objectives of research Main objectives: The general objective of STAIRS is to propose a framework for the harmonisation of European in-depth road accident and injury databases, and to produce recommendations for: - specification of the core data; - data collection methods and procedures; - data quality assurance - validation of harmonisation protocols; - confidentiality of data and ethical issues; - steps to the implementation of a harmonised database. Demo Sites: None Links with other projects, tasks, areas, programmes, policy actions: There is a direct link with the establishment of the CARE safety database, and with national road accident databases.
