Objectives of research
Main objectives:
- Examine and develop the use of Variable Message Signs (VMS) in Europe. - A summary of European research on VMS, including systems architecture, technical and procedural aspects, economic aspects, and legal, organisational, institutional issues, - Inventory and analysis of possible VMS test sites. - Definition of an ensuing "development and trial phase".
