The Commission of the European Communities has published an open procedure call for tenders for technical improvement of the European Employment Services (EURES) network's general information database and development of the content. The Commission is at present setting up the EURES network, designed to provide a link between the national public employment services, facilitating the exchange of information with a view to increasing worker mobility in the single market. Exchange of general information, especially on living and working conditions, between Member States is an important aspect of the work and, at present, takes place via the European Information System INFO 92. Bids are to be invited for integration of the existing information on INFO 92, and possibly for expansion of the database. The information to be processed is in the languages: DK, D, EL, EN, ES, F, I, N, P. Offers are invited for the following lots: Lot 1: - Computerized documents based on existing, pre-translated texts for direct incorporation into INFO 92; - System integration; - Expansion of the INFO 92 tree structure to incorporate supplementary information. Lot 2: - Supplementary information for the database to cover gaps identified by users, particularly in the area of living and working conditions and to provide information on the mobility of European workers in general. Tenderers must be able to provide evidence of substantial experience in the relevant fields. Bids may be submitted for only some of the services in question. Tender documents specifying the minimum economic and technical requirements are available from: Commission of the European Communities DG V EURES Project (C-80, 4/22) Ref: Notice of invitation to tender No V/009/93 200 rue de la Loi B-1049 Brussels Fax +32-2-2990508
