The European Commission, DG XII, has launched an open call to tender for the completion of studies, to be caried out in each of the Member States, on local initiatives to combat social exclusion. The studies are aimed at collecting pertinent information on policies related to the European strategies concentrated on social exclusion in view of establishing and exploiting a "European data base on local initiatives to combat social exclusion". The present call for tenders is divided into 15 lots, each corresponding to one of the 15 Member States of the European Union. Part of the work under this study might not be readily available in records or archives, public or private; - b) To provide the Commission with updated information/data on each local initiative, grouped in individual files for each one of them. The information/data will be given in the national language of the country accompanied by two summaries in English and French, following the computer models which will be provided for him by the coordinator. Where relevant, each file shall include, as a minimum, 17 data headings as detailed in the terms of reference; - c) To provide information on the transferability of successful local experience; - d) To identify and recommend the most appropriate national service provider (national or local authority, institution, organization, individual) able to collect and transfer controlled national information/data to the Commission and advise the latter of a method allowing the continuity of the action after the termination of the contract indicating the relevant cost.
