Development of control software

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre has published a restricted invitation to tender concerning the development of control software for testing machines or measuring devices, data processing and scientific data banks, and the creation of information systems.

The contract would involve the construction and supply of control stations for testing, acquisition and calibration machines on GPIB/RS 485/digital/analog channels for the following activities:

- The creation of signal-processing software for heat, mechanical and electromagnetic tests in a Lab View, Lab Windows or compatible environment;
- To create and manage data banks for scientific applications in SQL or equivalent language;
- Laboratory test, research and development activities comprising:
. Heat, humidity, mechanical and electromagnetic tests (machine control);
. Ultrasonic measures of level as well as pressure and density;
. Measures of acceleration (data acquisition);
. Measures of temperature, humidity, radio-frequency signals, voltage (data acquisition);
. Monitoring of electronic identification projects for animals to be reared and radio-frequency marking of nuclear containers;
. Creation of scientific data banks and information systems.

On the basis of the requests to participate received in response to this invitation to tender, the Commission will send out full invitations to tender to between five and twenty candidates.
