Reviewing the trans-European network policy

In order to review the implementation of the trans-European transport network policy (TEN) and to give direction on its possible future development, the European Commission, DG VII has published an invitation to tender for a study.

The study should begin with a general assessment of the progress made with the trans-European transport network, focusing on issues related to the implementation of the networks. This would involve the creation of a research network and review of the projects, with particular regard to public-private partnerships. In addition, the study would provide a methodology to assess Community interest and the coherence of intelligent transport systems and Global Navigation Satellite Systems Support (GNSS) with other TENs actions, and put forward new ideas.

The study should also examine links to potential accession countries and produce regular reports on the further development of policies and projects, including guidance and advice on possible new policy areas and producing a review of the progress and development of the TENs.
