Co-financing audiovisual productions on the developing world

A European Commission scheme, within the framework of bilateral and development cooperation relations with Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific, is currently seeking applications for co-financing audiovisual productions. The objective of the scheme is to promote these productions in order to contribute to a better understanding in Europe of the developing world and the need for North-South cooperation.

Productions should be targeted to as wide an audience as possible, therefore preference will be given to productions designed for TV broadcasting. These may include documentaries, educational programmes, current affairs, magazines or even short feature films, provided that they contribute to the objective of the scheme.

The subject dealt with in the production should be related to the developing world and North-South cooperation in the economic, social and cultural fields. Coverage of strictly political topics or purely ethnographic documentaries will not be considered. Applications are welcome from producers, public or private, from one of the Member States of the EU.
