Public give their opinions on genetically modified food

A socio-economic impact study, which includes the findings of an investigation into what different sectors of the public think about genetically modified food, has recently been published by the European Commission, DG XII.

The publication is called "A Guide for Companies in the Agro-food Sector to Communicate on Genetic Engineering to the public". The main objective for the study was to systematically analyse the experiences of different institutions who had tried to communicate information about genetic engineering in the agro-food sector to the public.

The report presents information on how the research was conducted and offers recommendations on how companies can best utilise the findings.
