A CORDIS CD-ROM is being developed to complement the successful online service. The CD-ROM will contain complete data from all eight of the CORDIS databases. It will provide an alternative for users who find access to online services difficult or prefer to consult the database at leisure via a PC.

The CORDIS team wishes to evaluate the CD-ROM from a user point of view and seeks volunteers to participate in an assessment of this product. These would receive a prototype copy of the CD-ROM together with an appraisal form.

Hardware requirements for use of the CD-ROM are: MS DOS operating system version 3.1 or higher; hard disk with minimum of 2 Mb available space; 640 Kb of RAM; graphics card; any compatible CD-ROM drive.

The CD-ROM will be shown for the first time at the International Online Information Meeting (IOLIM) at Olympia 2, London, on 8-10 December 1992.
