Commission looks for ways to improve transport

The European Commission, Directorate-General for Transport, has recently published a call for tender related to the economic impact of current carrier liability arrangements on intermodal freight transport.

A lack of a uniform liability arrangement has been identified as an impediment for the further development of freight intermodalism in the European Union.

The time limit for completion of the service will be nine months from the date of signature of the contract.

Proposers must have proven experience in the areas of supply-chain management and transport laws, transport economics and modelling, and proven data access.

The contract will be awarded according to the following criteria:

- Understanding of the terms of reference;
- Proposed methodology;
- Innovative contents;
- Composition of the proposed study team;
- Price of tender.
