INTAS publishes calls for Joint Research Projects and Networks

INTAS (International Association for the Promotion of Cooperation with Scientists from the former Soviet Union) has recently published its calls for proposals for Joint Research projects and Networks. The submission of proposals should be jointly performed by research teams from the members of INTAS and the NIS (New Independent States of the former Soviet Union).

The scientific fields covered by the 1999 call are all exact and natural sciences, economics, human and social sciences. The total budget made available for the calls, by INTAS and its co-funding organisations (CERN and Airbus Industrie) amounts to 15 million euro.

The INTAS Open Call 99 for proposals in all scientific fields has an indicative budget of 13.1 million euro. Please see the call text for conditions for proposals for Joint Research projects and Networks respectively.

INTAS-CERN Call 99 for proposals related to the physics and engineering of the Large Hadron projects has an indicative budget of 1 million euro. Please see the call text for conditions for proposals for Joint Research projects.

Finally, the INTAS-Airbus Industrie Call 99 for proposals related mainly to mechanics, aircraft structures and aerodynamics has an indicative budget of 900,000 euro. Please see the call text for conditions for proposals for Joint Research projects.

The selection of proposals will be carried out by INTAS and, for the Joint Calls, the co-funding organisations, with the support of independent experts in a peer review evaluation. The main evaluation criteria are the merits of the scientific objectives, the scientific/technical programmes, the consortium and the project management.
