The European Commission, DG XII, has published a call for expressions of interest for experts to assist with certain aspects of the Common Basis of Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (CBSTII). The experts chosen following the call will provide a list of potential contractors to carry out a range of services under the CBSTII section of the Improving Human Research Potential programme within the Fifth Framework Programme. Experts will be grouped into sub-lists covering the following fields of expertise, and relevant individuals will be invited bid for appropriate contracts as and when these arise: Experts are likely to be called upon to perform tasks in connection with the preparation and evaluation of future editions of the European report on Science and technology Indicators, as well as other activities within CBSTII. The list of experts drawn up will remain valid until 7 June 2002, and expressions of interest may be submitted at any time up until 7 March 2002. A first list will be drawn up on 7 September 1999, and this will be updated every six months thereafter.
