Studies on innovation matters

The European Commission's Enterprise Directorate-General is calling for tenders to strengthen the knowledge base of innovation performance and policies in Europe. This will serve to effectively support the analysis, updating and dissemination of priority topics of the EU's First Action Plan for Innovation in Europe.

The call for tenders is divided into ten lots, each corresponding to a separate study. The lots are:

- Lot 1: patents in Europe: lessons from application and exploitation practice in research and industry;
- Lot 2: innovation policy issues in six applicant countries: the challenges;
- Lot 3: corporation tax and innovation - issues at stake and review of experiences in the 1990s in the European Union;
- Lot 4: impact assessment of the introduction of software patents in Europe for small and medium-sized business enterprises;
- Lot 5: review and dissemination of results of innovation studies;
- Lot 6: free patent information on the Internet: impact assessment;
- Lot 7: the Internet and technology transfer;
- Lot 8: cooperation between the research system and industry to promote innovative firms;
- Lot 9: innovative small and medium-sized enterprises and the creation of employment;
- Lot 10: industrial relations and innovation.
