Organization of the PATINNOVA '94 Congress

The Commission of the European Communities issues a call for tenders concerning the organization of the PATINNOVA '94 Conference on innovations and industrial property, to take place in June 1994 in Copenhagen.

The overall objective of this Conference is to improve the general awareness of the economic and marketing importance of the patent system, and to explore the role of the industrial property rights system as an interface between research and the actual transfer of research results to new products.

The Conference is to have impact on those who should be concerned in Europe by highlighting the importance of industrial property rights in the innovation process and by creating a meeting place for those who are currently working in the field of industrial property rights, with the aim of an exchange of views and experience.

To this end, the Commission invites tenders for the following services:

- Drafting, in close cooperation with the Commission, the programme for PATINNOVA '94;
- Assisting in the selection of speakers;
- Briefing the selected speakers and chairpersons;
- Devising and implementing the marketing for the conference;
- Assisting and supervising the organization(s) in charge of the technical implementation of the Conference, and payment of services on behalf of the Commission;
- Dealing with contacts with local authorities;
- Providing the secretariat of an organizing committee and a working party consisting of the Commission and the contractor(s);
- Preparation of multilingual documentation, including the Conference Proceedings;

The working language for implementation of the contract is to be French or English.

Tenders may be submitted by any organization established in the territory of a Member State.
