Promoting Eco-Management and Audit Systems in Czech Republic

A programme to promote eco-management and audit systems (EMAS) in the Czech Republic is being launched by the Environment Directorate-General of the European Commission.

It is anticipated that a call for tender covering all practical work for the implementation of the programme and technical assistance to Czech companies will be opened shortly.

The programme will seek to develop a strategy for the promotion of EMAS, provide advice to Czech authorities and support to Czech companies for their EMAS registration. It will be carried out through cooperation between EMAS stakeholders from the EU Member States and the Czech Republic.

The maximum budget is estimated to be 250,000 euro.
