The European Commission has issued a call for proposals for the implementation of the training programme for professionals from the European audiovisual programme industry.

The actions required include the improvement of vocational, initial and in-service training for audiovisual professionals to skill them for the European market, in particular in the following areas:

- economic and commercial management;

- use and development of new technology for audiovisual programme production;

- scriptwriting techniques.

Operators who wish to respond to this call, should request the guidelines for proposal submission from the Directorate-General for Education and Culture, and consult the official call text on the Official Journal of the European Communities.
