Additional information for proposers for the IST programme

The submission deadline for the action line for data fusion and smart sensor technologies for humanitarian demining of the IST programme (action line IST2000 - 1.4.2) has been extended, following the publication of a study commissioned by the Joint Research Centre on the operational needs and equipment requirements for mine action in south-eastern Europe.

It was felt that the results of the study, carried out by the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining, could prove useful to proposers intending to address this action line, and the deadline for the submission of tenders has therefore been extended by one month to allow the study to be taken into consideration.

The IST call was originally published in the Official Journal of the European Communities on 10 February 2000 (OJ No C 38 of 10.2.2000, p 11).

The deadline now applicable is 12 June 2000 at 5 pm (Brussels local time), and this should be borne in mind when consulting the Guide for Proposers. All other conditions, including those that apply to deadlines, remain unchanged.
